The risk is reduced, as you can tell from the lack of recent tales of woe. But not eliminated, connections add to the risk factor. Just pack sensibly and it shouldn't be a problem. Or take the train to Amsterdam, which will take about the same time as the LHR routing and where the risk is removed.
