Someone wrote on one of the PL forums that Basia has to save some 400m PLN and service cuts are already here. Having not flown longhaul this year, I can't confirm anything, but removing tablecloth's and downgrading meals was mentioned. Maybe hot meals will go on many routes. All this deckchair Titanic stuff will be a huge regret.
BTW: which other measures were mentioned to cut expenses by PLN 400m? In the case of tablecloth washing, you have the current two heavy price boosters in the form of energy and chemicals, but that alone won't help.
There could probably be noticeable cuts in service, e.g. no more hot drinks on intra-Europe flights. The in-flight magazine will probably also have to be discontinued. If that doesn't help, it could probably be a matter of the network (where possible, schedule rotations in such a way that night stops with costly layovers are no longer necessary)
Business Class food on intra-Europe flights is already poorly convincing (not saying it is better on LH). Even though I've heard that to/from BRU they offer the finest of the finest. Unfortunately, it's a 200km diversions for me.
