UPDATE:
I'm here at ORD and wanted to provide some data point. Again, my flight is NH111 ORD-HND at 425pm. I arrived at ORD ~9am and the ANA check-in desk was open to accommodate passengers booked on NH11 ORD-NRT at 1040am. They were able to check me in for my afternoon flights and took all my luggage away. I'm now working/relaxing inside the Polaris lounge for the next 7 hours or so.
