For as long as I've been flying IB OLCI has always worked for me for flights to the US but never when flying back from the US. That's never been an issue for me when flying in either direction on AA or BA.
Curious, I have the opposite problem. It's weird because going back to Spain the passport doesn't match the reservation exactly (my US passport only has one surname and that's how I reserve flights). Never lets me check in online going to the US on my American passport.
