They won't rebook any other airline except LO for schedule changes and they limit Article 8 rights to +/-30 days on their own metal. Of course this is illegal given the "earliest" law. It's only for short-notice irregularity they would rebook to LH. By all means push but I don't think you will be successful. Try calling IROPS +48 22 577 95 73 rather than the Call Centre. There's no published UK number for IROPS.
