There's no requirement that a Skyteam connecting itin be on same ticket for access. STE+ wouldn't provide for Sky Club access at final destination as that would be an arrival benefit, but as long as you were connecting to/from same-day international (except Caribbean) and the onward flight is Skyteam, you have access at connecting airport.
