Of course, my US domestic ticket wouldn't have granted access but the lounge dragon had me scan my inbound AF boarding card, entered some stuff into his computer, and was given access.
The lounge in the B-gates at ATL quite hectic late afternoon though, ended up being a quick snack "dash then get out" kind of thing.
There's no requirement that a Skyteam connecting itin be on same ticket for access. STE+ wouldn't provide for Sky Club access at final destination as that would be an arrival benefit, but as long as you were connecting to/from same-day international (except Caribbean) and the onward flight is Skyteam, you have access at connecting airport.
