Wether or not the pairings are efficient, the crews are going to operate their 80? hours/month.
An inefficient schedule just takes more days to operate the required hours.
Maybe WS wants crews to be scheduled for less days so they can work more overtime.
More worked overtime means less need to hire people.
Union contracts for Cabin Personnel and Pilots now add cost to inefficient pairings. Inefficiency is no longer completely on the backs of crew; so there are financial impacts of this now thankfully for the Company.
