Most are definitely AA employees. I actually new a couple by name before the pandemic. The station manager is definitely an AA employee. To me another sign the are AA employees is when travel started to pickup there was a lot of recruiting for employees. Most of the hiring ( for other airlines) was contract agencies but AA had it's own ads were you applied through their website.
