The amount of >4h flight delays in my last 12 months has been monumental. Normally my flights are booked with my Platinum but I used the BA Premium Plus card for my last flight with an overnight delay. Obviously, the travel inconvenience is lower at £200 (shared between all travellers) compared to the Platinum travel inconvenience of up to £300 each for family members.

Does anyone know for certain whether I would have had to pay with the platinum card to claim their travel inconvenience policy? I always thought it didn't really matter as long as you used an Amex card but the agent I spoke to via chat said only the BA Premium Plus policy would apply for that particular claim as it was paid for with a BA card.
