I think WestJet needs to focus on the Asian market.... China, Japan (think Kyoto), Thailand, India, etc. These are high demand places that Canadians would want to visit.
Also a direct to Cape Town would be good too.
With all the WS international flying now being concentrated in YYC, Cape Town is beyond the 787-9 range. Even from YYZ it is an impractical route from a profit perspective with the WS aircraft config, not suitable for a full passenger and/or cargo load with a 787-9 on a direct flight. India is also beyond range from YYC for direct flights due to take off weight considerations with high ambient temperatures.
