I must be a bad parent. I am taking my two sons to South Africa, both 6'2, and making them fly economy. I did get them a lengthy lay over in Amsterdam (their choice as we are on two different flights) to stretch their legs and explore. I just figured they are lucky to get a free trip to South Africa, and they are young (in their 20s) and their bodies can recover. If you can afford it and since it seems to be a big issue, I would spring for premium economy, especially if the exit rows are already taken. It is a LONG journey.
NOT AT ALL!!! They are very lucky to have such an enrichment experience. Who gets to do it? I have been saving for the last 3 years and my initial plan was to fly business but that bubble burst pretty quickly. I still haven't booked anything yet. Last time we flew to Australia in economy and he was so miserable that he said I would rather not fly anymore. So just trying to keep it as comfortable as possible.
