The current ViaSat 2 satellite only has coverage for the continental North America & Europe (+ the Atlantic crossing) but has no coverage over the Pacific, Asia, or South America. Since DL has switched to the A321neo for most West Coast-Hawaii flights, the ViaSat “free” WiFi does not work for 90% of the flight so DL WiFi to Hawaii is currently only available on the widebodies since they still have GoGo.
