Just got back last week fromSeafire Jan 17-25 and it would be awesome if Seafire was adult only. During our stay, the place was over run with children. Small children. Small, screeching children. The parents of said children were not “parenting” them at all with very little exception. There was a large groups of travelers who obviously knew each other. Each family has 2-4 small kids. From babies in strollers ranging up to around 6-8 years old.
The parents would sat down at one table, while the little kids sat at their own table. Kids screaming in the restaurants both breakfast and dinner. Kids screeching at the pool. I’m not talking about yelling. I’m talking screeching. At every venue, at every pool.
there is a dedicated ware park that was built for children. There is a very shallow “baby pool” for the little ones, there is a very large pool for everyone. There is also a smaller “plunge type” pool above the regular pool which would have been ideal to make adults only but alas, kids were swarming all over there too. Not one single spot to escape.
I felt so sorry for the poor staff who did their utmost to deal with the situation as best they could. I did mention something to Management about the abundance of unruly and unsupervised (kids at the pools, parents at the beach) but they seemed like they didn’t care or most likeLy were at a total loss as to what to do.
we actually considered not ever returning in the future but it is a very beautiful place on a very beautiful Island. And as mentioned many times before the staff is top notch. We were also told by staff members that while more children have been coming there as of late, this group was the absolute worst the hotel has ever seen.
I suggested upon leaving that perhaps they could at least make the smaller pool adult only. That would be a start.
