Sounds like OP cancelled a reservation this month that was made in November 2022, for which he/she received the $200 credit. Because we are now into 2023, if Amex claws back the credit, it will be lost as it is too late to be applied to a new reservation.

While most reversals tend to happen within a few days of the cancellation, there are times Amex's systems get behind and it could be weeks or months before you see any activity, if at all.
