I stayed once at a Courtyard and it was not a positive experience. I agree breakfast is atrocious- long slow line just to get coffee and bagel. And then be charged $10. Plus the expected tip. The strangest thing was receiving a bill after THREE nights of a FOUR night stay- I thought there had been a mistake and the hotel was checking me out. Called the front desk and received a rather defensive explanation that the property runs charges after a certain (low level) amount has been reached. I would receive another bill for the remainder. The defense- it is standard hotel practice. On what planet? I am Gold Marriott but never again by choice will I consider a CY.
