No GP Points for Alc. Beverages at Certain Properties?

Since Hyatt's not yet operating under the March 1, 2005 rules on incidental charges, I tried to claim standard GP points (not bonus points) and a stay credit for an award stay at the Hyatt Regency Denver. The eligible charge was to be a drink at the Regency Club lounge. This charge did indeed show up as a charge on my folio statement, but when I investigated the reason that I didn't get a stay credit, I was told that alcoholic beverages are not eligible for GP credit in certain jurisdictions. Also, the folio item does have an asterisk next to it, indicating an ineligible charge (which I'd assumed was an error).

Does this sound correct? Anyone else had this experience?
