I have read here that there has been some luck in changing to an earlier flight if available and was thinking to try my luck, cutting the layover by 5 or so hours. This could be done at the lounge reception aswell I read but my understanding from earlier posts is that better luck has been gained at the transfer desk?
I travel in paid J and i'm TK Elite, will that increase my chanses you think?
TK are still selling J tickets to the earlier flight so there seems to be free seats at least.
There are transfer desks airside. They are to your left when you take the escalators down from the main hall (where the lounges lounges are located) to the A and B gates. Easy to find. You can inquire there if you get a negative answer from the lounge desks (before entering the TK lounges). A last resort is to go the gate of the earlier flight and inquire with the gate staff.
