These pink slips are absolute magic, they make your luggage disappear and reappear at your next hotel, airport etc.
Don’t worry about filling them in, one hotel will organise shipping from one to the next.
Japanese people generally don’t travel with lots of luggage, the ship it. Trains, especially a busy Shinkansen are not really equipped to deal with anything larger than a carryon. Wrestling a large suitcase around the Tokyo public transport system is no fun either. It’s pretty cheap as well.
