VPS-MSP seems well set up for onward connections and keeps showing up in my flight searches this summer-I’m even booked on a VPS-MSP-JAC ticket that will be double sad box day if the upgrades clear- but MSP-VPS departs at 10:10am and would only really work coming off a red eye or long haul for inbound connections.
(Local advice- Skip the sad box for MSP-VPS and then grab a substantial lunch at Doc’s Oyster Bar in Valparaiso on a bayou not too far from the airport once you get in.)
