Delta still has 14 "Z" type 76E's (not upgraded / sans PS) currently in service....currently, the vast majority are doing the west coast states to Hawaii routes. As more and more A321neos come on board, I'm certain that Delta will be doing SOME upgrades with them. We do know that NOT ALL of the 76E's will have PS added to them, which will have the "Z"s becoming the first frames on the list to be retired (taken out of service). Delta also has 9 "L" type frames in service, which are currently doing almost 100% domestic flying (trans-con routes). Again, when the next group of A321neos start arriving (starting at 5051 for the next 21 frames...the trans-con versions...with 30+ less seats), the "L" frames (sans PS) will begin to be removed from service. This will not be a 1 for 1 adjustment as I'm sure Delta will be experimenting with new destinations somewhere. Again, as stated in previous thread posts, the neo's are NOT a 76E replacement, but can be used on some routes stated above.
