Anyone know if "changing" current flight that was booked in the main cabin to the same exact flight, but in First Class for an additional $250.00 charge would be a workaround to get the Plat credit to trigger? I want to use it to get First, but I'm trying to find a workaround to the manually upgrading the seat the regular way since that won't trigger the credit from AMEX.
