I flew the non "refreshed" 767 in D1 ATL-GIG-ATL and I didn't mind the seat. The seats are just really seeming to struggle with mechanical and tech issues. On the ATL-GIG, 3 seats in D1 had to be almost manually put in lie flat by flight attendants. On return flight multiple screens were out of order including mine and 3 seats needed work, one they could not fix to go flat at all. I know this is an anecdote, but if lie flat function is routinely not even working on multiple seats on a D1 seat that is worst in the fleet, that is pretty bad.
I know we have a few more years with the 767-300ER but I hope they get better with at least keeping the seats working.
I got some miles for my trouble and didn't care about the tiny screen anyway, but still. I knew I was flying 767 so loaded up my tablet.
