If you were logged into an IB account or you ignored any auto population by your browser, then it is down to you that the IB number was in the booking. The number wouldn't have just added itself on its own

Are you being stonewalled - or is it that IB does not provide for removal of points credited to its scheme?

Did your boarding pass show an AA number, an IB number or no number?
