I booked an Alaska award on EI metal - FCO-DUB-SEA, with FCO-DUB in coach, and DUB-SEA in business. Will I have the 3x23kg business class checked baggage allowance when I check in at FCO for the initial economy segment? I would think I'd get the allowance of the transatlantic segment, but the EI agent who helped me assign my seats (no charge!) told me I'd have the economy allowance when I checked in at FCO. You certianly should have 3x23 but being that it's an award ticket and that you're not starting out from Dublin it could be tricky. Staff in FCO will be contract hired and may not understand what's going on if the computer says it should be economy only. Have all your paper work and insist it should be J class baggage all the way. It would be on a revenue ticket.
