Andaz rooms were much bigger and we got upgraded to a larger room for one of our rooms. Bathrooms are huge. And nice. Breakfast was more creative and I liked the space better (basement bar but cool long wood tables). Happy hour wine in lobby every evening around 5PM.

We walked everywhere in midtown and up to the park even. Close to Grand Central so that’s a good convenience.

I would absolutely choose Andaz over Centric Midtown. No comparison.

We had a great meal maybe 2 blocks away at La Pecora Bianca Bryan Park: https://www.lapecorabianca.com
While the Andaz definitely has larger rooms than the Centric, I def did not enjoy my stay there. Breakfast was below average, rooms were in disrepair and old. The bathroom doors did not keep sound out - so be careful if you're going with someone special. Truly a disappointing hotel for the money imo.

Centric rooms are newer - but obv smaller. Depending on how many days and rate could be a better value. But def small space for luggage there... so if you're a couple (not solo) it'll be tough and as such is hard to recommend.
