The IB website wouldn't let me enter my Aadvantage #, so as soon as I booked my flights I called IB and had them enter my AA #. They confirmed my miles would be credited to AA. I called AA and confirmed that was correct. When I checked in for my flight I asked the check-in agent to confirm again - he didn't see my Aadvantage # so he re-entered it.
On my way home I saw my miles were credited to IB!! My very last leg was on AA, so I had their agent add my AA# to that flight and I did get those miles, but no others.
I filled out the form on AA for missing miles and they wouldn't credit them because they had been credited to my IB account. I called in and asked AA how to fix it, and they said have IB remove the miles from my account. I've been trying to get that done for two weeks and am getting stonewalled at IB-I filled out their help form 3x with no response, DM'd their Twitter people who said they would help, but after a week and two followups I'm getting stalled. I don't want to call in because they barely understood me on the phone, and clearly were unable to do what I asked.
Any guidance for how to get this fixed??? If it helps I'm AA EXP, but the EXP desk were the ones who said to call Aadvantage customer service.
TIA
Good luck dealing with IB--without a doubt, the worst customer service of any airline I've ever dealt with--their Twitter people were useless.
