It seems like a smaller airport than Tuxtla, so yeah - I'd say good luck with that. While I've heard great things about Campeche, I think that's probably been from Mexicans - I don't think it's really attracted a lot of international attention.

I'm strongly considering walking away from my current job and city and taking some time off to recharge. I was thinking it would be great to take a month to do a circle through Yucatan, Campeche, Chiapas, and northern Guatemala to visit Tikal for a second time. So that's what started me down this rabbit hole. I have no interest at all in going to Cancún if I don't have to, and that includes the airport.
