It will push up numbers I think but it will mostly push them up in Gold/Silver. The metal requirement for Elite is so high that a 50% SP boost will still not be enough for most people. Most people fly domestically and it takes an insane amount of flying to hit Gold already. And if you add 50% on top of gold, that's still not getting you to Elite.
Elite is 900 + 450 = 1350 of 1500 so 150. 150x$200=$30k on you Kiwibank card so $2.5k a month

To renew 810 + 405 = 1215 of 1350 so 135 so $27k on your Kiwibank card. 2.25k a month

Those look very achievable if you are making the metal requirement. Elite is almost going to be easier as it is 60% opposed to 50% so nearer 2/3. If was 2/3 metal requirement the 50% would just give you the the 1/3.

1400 + 700 = 2100 so 300. so 5k per month on Kiwibank card.
