On SFO/BOS often I'll see the lowest price sometime between 5-20 days before departure. However I always book my tickets as soon as I know my dates, as long as I"m ok with the fare price, and cancel and rebook if the price drops. I'm never worried about the wallet credit given how often I fly AS.
