I agree but restaurants are usually more expensive.......a mid level/slightly upscale place on the strip like Bugsy and Myers is an easy $120 a person for a steak ( 10 ounces the cheapest one on the menu) and one side, soft drink and tip, add in desert and you're looking at $140, one decent drink $160.................I believe bacchanal with unlimited drinks is $100 and I have heard people mention a groupon coupon that makes it like $75
Bacchanal has a lot more than crab legs...........you can get those at Aria or even MGM Grand for under $50 plus the BOGO offers on my Vegas
IMO buffets are good for breakfast and for people who can eat a lot, more on a budget, etc
