T-Mobile is only available on airplanes that have either the Thales or Viasat internet system. You'll see a note on the portal page (unitedwifi.com) which says Network by xxx.

A320 - All have Panasonic
A319 - Some have Viasat, some have Panasonic
737 NG - Have either Thales or Viasat
737 MAX - All have Viasat
757 - Panasonic, Thales, or Viasat
777 - Panasonic
787 - Panasonic
United Express - GoGo
