Instead of posting a new thread, I'll try asking a similar question here:

I booked an Alaska award on EI metal - FCO-DUB-SEA, with FCO-DUB in coach, and DUB-SEA in business. Will I have the 3x23kg business class checked baggage allowance when I check in at FCO for the initial economy segment? I would think I'd get the allowance of the transatlantic segment, but the EI agent who helped me assign my seats (no charge!) told me I'd have the economy allowance when I checked in at FCO. That seems incorrect, right?
