With that being said, I've stayed in both the Jack Scott and James Chadwick Suites which are two of the top rooms at the PH and I much prefer any of the one bedrooms I've stayed at within the Hyatt Centric. The rooms there are very nice and cozy. They have full kitchens, dining areas, terraces, fireplaces, and washer dryers. The PH rooms could all use a refresh but the PH does have a much better lobby area for apres.

The Hyatt Centric has a lift right at the hotel that you ski right on and off, if it's open it makes your stay there very convenient. That lift normally opens around Christmas time depending on snow conditions. If the lift is not open it's not that big of a deal, the shuttle ride to the village is less than 2 minutes and they pick you up or drop you off on demand. Ski school drop off is at the Canyons Village which you can easily ski over to from the lift at the hotel then drop off is right next to the Red Pine gondola it's not bad but again it not as easy as the PH, nothing is. The ski valet at both resorts are great and on par with each other so no worries there. You ski right into the Centric, pop your skis off, and walk downstairs to the lobby. It is very easy and now with the Pendry opened next door there are alot more shops and restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. If you've never been I would consider giving Park City a try. The mountain does take some time to figure out how to navigate but once you know your way around it's great. The town is about 10 minutes away and is one of the best authentic ski towns in the US, maybe my favorite just behind the town of Aspen.

In any event, one last note that could give you pause. If your booking a points stay at the Hyatt Centric and you book out far in advance like we all have to on a school vacation schedule just be prepared to book knowing that your points are non-refundable. I've done it 3 times now knowing that if I can't make it I'm at risk of losing my points or being charged.
Thanks for all the detail. So I saw the Sunrise lift by the hotel but it looks like taking that up then skiing down to ski school requires a blue run. No problem for my wife and I but might be too much for our youngest. Am I seeing that accurately? Also, at the end of the day, if we are picking up from ski school it would seem our only option is the shuttle as opposed to skiing into the hotel right?
