Another situation facing lodging industry in Japan is lack of workers. The media in Japan is reporting is that some hotels/ryokans are capping occupancy at 60-70% due to lack of employees. Looks like lodging in Japan will be facing demand exceeding supply, which will unlikely to see great discount deals.

Some shops/restaurants at HND/NRT remain closed, some other with reduced hours. Limousine Bus has not returned to full schedule. These are all due to lack of workers, not due to lack.of demand.
