I’m hoping to get front row seats or as close as possible for the final day of the tournament but that’s a few days after my stay… I also tried asking the AMEX Platinum concierge but they said they’re not allowed to buy sumo tickets.

Any advice?
There's no chance in hell that a random foreigner is getting anywhere near the front set of tatami at a main sumo basho. This area is dominated by those with extremely close ties to the Sumo Kyokai. Consider yourself fortunate to get any seat at all.
