2 questions - why does Delta charge more to book the same flight that Aero Mexico are selling (cash price) cheaper? Again, not code shared...ticketed as an AM flight. Is it a 'service' fee of sorts?
second question - is also possibly hard to answer....why the variance in miles to cash fare ratio.... I wasn't expecting someone to help me lower the miles, it is more educating myself as best I can, based on others observations/advice as to how/why this happens.
Turns out I booked $519 cash fares for 20,000 miles - just by playing around, so I'm not sure why the variance. Last year it seemed dollars directly translated to miles on that 0.01c ratio. This year so far it's been variable.
