Thanks! I did charge the whole thing. If I use miles to "cover travel purchase" (reimbursing against that charge) does that then disqualify the charge from being used as the basis for the $300 statement credit? I assume yes, although it might work if I leave at least $300 "uncovered." But I'm guessing it is better not to touch it at all until the statement credit posts (which based on this thread may be a long, difficult battle).
