Thanks.
1) Bikes are free and there seem to be plenty. We just showed up and got a couple.
2) Once you get off the walking/bike path - going south - you are on the road. Kinda no path going north. Roads do seem to have a bike 'lane' but we weren't comfortable doing it for too long. Also, since they drive on the 'wrong' side of the road, not sure which side is 'best' to be riding on

3) Not sure about this. I THINK they asked if we wanted to take the locks with with, but we said no because we weren't stopping.
As mentioned above this post, we used them to get to the liquor store just to the south. Take the bike/walking path on the ocean-side of the resort, and go through the public beach. Path ends. Cross the road and head slightly south and there are a number of stores (restaurants) including a liquor store. Much cheaper than kimpton
Also, to get the bikes talk to the pool staff - they are in charge (I had asked at concierge desk an that is what I was told). May take a few minutes. Need to sign a waver. Bikes are stored outside in front of the gym and behind the Seaside Green area.
Oh, and for people that have that nasty smoking habit (which I sometimes do):
1) There are 3 official spots where you can smoke @ the resort
2) They don't sell cigarettes - but do sell cigars in the gift shop
3) Above-mentioned liquor store is the closest place to buy. I think $13 Cayman/$16 U.S.
Hope this helps!
