Sounds like he got the desired resolution in the end (#6), though navigating TK customer service has sounded quite Kafkaesque from what he's described to me.

I was offered the same this morning and I have 48 hours to decide.
This option #6 what kind of cheque is it?
Turkish Airlines traveler cheque that can be exchanged for cash?
If so, how long does it take to have a cash? And what is the procedure?
