Even at airlines where a confirmed business/first class seat is purchasable on staff travel, lounge access isn't usually permitted. Of the three airlines I've worked at:
1. No lounge access unless has status or guested by an eligible commercial pax - can you guess which one this was?
2. No lounge access, even on confirmed J/F ticket, and not permitted even if you had status
3. I had lounge access by virtue of my grade but that was limited to <10 employees in the whole company and only at our home base airport
