One clarification (which may be useful to others on here) — contrary to the Dublin Airport website if you're self-connecting and HBO you can use Flight Connections in DUB. Did BOS-DUB on DL connecting to DUB-LHR on EI on separate tickets a few months ago — was actually a very quick and easy transfer with no one in line for immigration (got a stamp!) and no security either
One further clarification - this (easy) transfer route is only available for those
arriving into T2.
T1 arrivals have to pass through immigration
AND security to get back airside (unfortunately!) and BA (to keep the thread on track) use T1.
You can arrive into T2 - use the transfer route and depart T1 without passing security as they are connected airside.
