FUR bookings always recieve full loyalty benefits. I have never had a stay with any loyalty program where this was not the case.

You book directly with Hilton to receive Diamond benefits, or take the package offered when booking via AMEX travel.
Those rare instances where they are combined are when, I suspect, the hotel staff doesn't know better.
