Most of the trendy videos distract passengers from the important message at first and become irritating after one or two showings. Take the United “Safety is Global” video, BA’s previous “Chabbudy G” effort, the silly Air New Zealand “Lord of the Rings” demonstration, or Qatar’s footballing video.

The three exceptions I can think of are Air France, KLM and American Airlines (the old video). They all manage to hold attention and entertain.

Lufthansa’s video is much more sensible (although a bit too long as it is presented in both English and German).

If BA’s first intention is to create something “progressive” or “woke”, as suggested upthread, then they missed the point entirely before getting going. Back to the drawing board, I would suggest; we don’t need virtue signalling shoved down our throats everywhere we go - especially when we’re paying £££s for the privilege!
The final messages are, as far as I remember, BA cabin crew stating ‘take care of each other’ and then Little Simz saying ‘don’t change’ closing with the BA slogan ‘a British Original’.

Plus there’s a lots of country side/ London/ social housing estates in the video.
