Apologies if this was asked earlier in the thread but hoping for a quick answer. To set the table for my question, I'm a platinum with 4 RUCs total to work with.

• I have a round trip for 2 pax in May of 2023. One direction was confirmed using 2 of the RUCs. I am waitlisted for an RUC upgrade on the return Note: this was booked prior to the self-service web option for these.
• I just booked another flight for 2 pax in October of 2023 and saw the checkbox that it was an instant upgrade with RUC so I clicked it (not doing the math in my head) and it instantly confirmed.
• When I look at the original May 2023 waitlisted booking it still says 'upgrade waitlisted and appears nothing has changed.

Questions:
1) can you confirm a reservation out from under another waitlisted one? It doesn’t lock the cert to the original waitlist transaction?

2) if that can happen, what’s my best path to
fixing it?

**Edit: I meant to add that the screen where I clicked to upgrade the October 2023 listing showed I had 4 available certs (which I was thinking were new, but then realized I haven't earned/selected new ones yet**
