Since this a business card application, it may also be that Barclays cannot verify the existence of the business, as explained here...
Called them a couple minutes ago and they said "you have the maximum number of credit cards allowable." My DW hates talking to banks so she didn't push the issue. She has no Barclays cards right now & they did pull her credit report. We'll try again in a couple months.
