The fare you found must have been quickly snaffled up. The best one-way I can see appears to be Tarom, at somewhere around £165. BA shows a solid rank of £240+ one-way fares.
Was it a straight-up one-way fare you saw, or the one-way component of a round-trip ?
Yes, still there. 8 November CAI to LHR £106 on ba.com but saw it for under £100 on some OTAs. If you need sooner you can get BA for the same trip for £122 March/April.

I remember Cairo-based PhiltheFlyer was a great proponent of the Doha connection between London and Cairo with QR. But that was driven in large part by QR's (then) premium-class fare structure out of Cairo.
I worked south of Egypt for several years and CAI was often the best staging post to and from work. Egyptair was one of the few carriers heading where I was going. ET was also an option and while possibly a bit better, routing through Cairo was much faster. Time is important to me on frequent work trips. I would resent spending thrree times the time to route through DOH on QR.
