Pre-covid I used to fly longhaul out of Toronto every couple of weeks in paid J. On most occasions, I would get a call the day before from the SE Concierge saying I was being offered the on-tarmac transfer, so I'd go to the Concierge office inside the Premium check in area and they would take me from there. My first longhaul paid J flight in a long time will be next Monday, so I'll be interested to see if that happens this time. No expectations but still interested to see. I don't even know if they are offering this to YYZ originating SE paid J pax anymore.
