Yes, I finally created an Alaska Mileage Plan account to do some analysis...it's bizarre. Seems rather than Alaska having a live link to SQ availability, they are given a batch of rewards to dole out. In the meantime, SQ will have open availability until allocated award seats are redeemed. And as a result we have the situation that currently exists where Alaska may still have award seats that SQ no longer has. That's my very uneducated guess anyways...
Most likely AS were given 2 business class award per flight ? But guess the number of ppl redeeming using AS miles for SQ are much lesser as they can easily use lesser miles to redeem CX/JL etc.
