[QUOTE=jef7;34953527]Wish I can say I love this place, but some things that make a stay memorable were missing. I guess if you’re a Bonvoy elite, booked a base room and get upgraded to a one bedroom corner suite and could also take advantage of the FHR benefits then yes, I can see the value. Otherwise, the property just misses the mark for me.

I booked a corner suite on this stay and although, the welcome at check-in was fine, there was no further upgrade offered. All the benefits that came with FHR were explained to us from breakfast to 100 dining credit which was great. The agent also proactively offered either 1000 welcome bonus or room credit.
IME, an upgrade at this property is rare, if non-existent. The best I've been able to do is high floor, water view. As for the breakfast offering, during the pandemic they had free in-room dining and the menu was amazing.

The executive lounge is open and is serving above average offerings. The physical lounge is stylish, but even here, the dings, crumbs, and scratches here and there detract from the overall high quality I was expecting. There’s no complimentary alcohol, (not even a house red or white) which is still fine, as the food offerings could easily substitute for a breakfast or dinner on a restaurant.
I had no idea there was an executive lounge, but look forward to checking it out on my next stay.

The valet team seems to be friendly as well and if you have an EV, they’ll charge the car for you happily for 55 Canadian.
Easy fix for this... join the casino's points programme and take advantage of free self-parking. You need to register your (rental) vehicle at the beginning of each visit, but it's worth it.
