For many of us, who are MM "Annual Silver", most of us lived at a time when, checked baggage were free, hot main cabin meal was complimentary, and seating assignments were also free, with or without status. In reality, the "Annual Silver" is still a reduction of benefit in comparison to what we had without status.

It's good to hear that 18K people get to retain some of those benefit, but it's still sad to know that we had it much better, even without status.

PS- Even with 2MM "Annual Gold", there is not much improvement knowing DL just yanked SkyClub lounge access when traveling Internationally in economy......
